Loon Lake is more than just a fabulous summer retreat for seasonal holidayers. It is a vibrant community made up of over 170 full time residents who host regular social occasions throughout the year. Annual events such as the winter carnival, summer horseshoe tournament and barbecue, flea market, pancake breakfast and other fun-filled events are designed to bring locals and visitors together in an atmosphere of amusement and socialization.
Of the many outdoor activities, fishing is the biggest draw. Loon Lake is naturally stocked with an abundant supply of rainbow trout. Choose your rod type because both trolling and fly casting are equally popular fishing methods.

Loon Lake hosts several privately operated resorts which cater to outdoor enthusiasts from all walks of life.
The two most common statements that are often heard from visitors to Loon Lake are “holy smokes look at the deer” and “do the fish ever stop jumping?”
